ADULTS
  • Tetanus Boosters
    These are recommended every 10 years and may be given if you have had an accident.
  • Hepatitis A & B
    These can be combined or administered individually. Please discuss this with your doctor.
  • Rubella
    All women of childbearing age should be vaccinated (this vaccination is usually given at school).
  • Pneumococcal Vaccination
    Recommended for those over 65 and people with previous splenectomy, chronic illness or lung disease.
  • Travellers Vaccinations
    When travelling overseas we advise that you come and see us 1-2 months ( 6 months if possible ) before departure. We can then establish what you require.
  • Flu Vaccines
    Recommended for adult patients, especially for those over 65 years of age as well as those with certain medical conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, asthma.  Contact the nurse to check if you are eligible for a free flu vaccine.  For more information, visit the influenza website.

Adults with splenectomy and functional asplenia or who are immune compromised may be eligible for the following vaccines:
  • Pneumococcal
  • Haemophilus influenza type B
  • Meningococcal B
  • Meningococcal A, C, Y, W-135
